Activating the key fob
For this feature to work effectively, the driver must be within about 200 feet of their Chevy.
- Press the lock button on your key fob once
- Then press and hold down the Remote Start button shaped like a curved or looping arrow for about four seconds, until your vehicle's turn signals flash or the engine turns over

To use the myChevrolet app on a compatible smartphone, log in first, then press and hold the Start icon to start the ignition and enable climate settings management.

How do I know if my Chevy has Remote Start?
There are several ways to check whether your Chevy model offers the feature.
- Check your key fob for the button with a curved or looping arrow symbol, typically located right below the lock and unlock buttons.
- To see if your Chevy's Remote Start feature is enabled, you can test the sequence by pressing the lock button once, then immediately press and hold the remote-start arrow button for about 4 seconds
Some Chevrolet models may require you to press the remote-start button twice instead
- Contact your local Chevrolet dealer, like Betley Chevrolet, and provide your Vehicle Identification Number or VIN to check your car's build sheet and factory option codes
- Check the owner's manual by looking in the security or keyless start section in your physical or digital Chevrolet owner's manual
